Featured Photographer #7: Davin Munech

DAVID MUNECH

David Munech has been a landscape photographer for half a century. he would travel the U.S contry side with his father Joesph Munech.Inventor of original and oft-imitated approaches to the landscape, Muench brings his own idea of geography into both his spectacular color and black and white images. For him, the craft and the art of photography are paramount, yet nothing is more important than presenting his beloved wilderness to viewers so that they might be moved to act on its behalf. For him, all of nature is a context, each tiny element of critical importance to the magnificence of the whole. It is this connectedness he seeks, an idea he presents in the book, Plateau Light. Long intimate with America’s wild places, in recent years Muench has expanded outward across the globe, photographing in Antarctica, New Zealand, Australia, Iceland, Japan, Morocco, South Africa, the Galapagos, Patagonia, Russia, Belarus. “I am inspired by the power and beauty of the primal landscape,” Muench says. “In the unending experience it offers of light, space and time, I engage in my equally unending search for sublime beauty.”

John Morris

J O H N M O R R I S

John Morris has been taking wedding photography for over 7 years. He loves to be outside. He loves to mountain bike, kayak, snowboard and anything else that challenges him. From what I can tell he has a really relaxed style and tone to his photos. Which I think creates REAL photos, not fake and processed photos. John Morris is good at creating natural shots, like of people laughing, dancing, smiling you name it. John Morris captures who and how you really are. Thats what i like about him, he cares about what hes doing and wants to make it look and feel natural. He really likes to have natural colors and sunlight in his pictures, which i am a fan of!
